A strong earthquake rocked Japan, primarily in the very populous Tokyo area. Initial reports say that the earthquake on Tokyo, Japan registered a 6.9 magnitude in the scale. Yes, indeed it was a strong one as trains were stopped and halted a professional baseball game held there. Authorities says that there are no immediate reports of casualties or major damages on the affected areas.
The Japan earthquake was centered at a depth of 188 miles (303 kilometers) in the Izu islands off the eastern coast of Japan. There are no tsunami alerts released as of this time.
