Coming this September 20th 2009, the most recognized TV primetime awarding body, The Emmys, will hold their 61st Emmy Awards for Primetime television. The Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California will be the venue for the 2009 Emmy Awards. Neil Patrick Harris will be hosting this awarding event. As expected HBO topped all network with 99 nominations, already 16 awards won. The rest of the top five are NBC (67 / 11), ABC (55 / 8), CBS (49 / 6) and FOX (42 / 8). Other Networks that are nominated for this year are Showtime, PBS, AMC, Comedy Central, Bravo, FX, TNT, Disney Channel and
Nickelodeon.

I just recently found out that the 2009 ALMA Awards will take place tomorrow. For those who don't know yet, ALMA Awards refers to the prestigious American Latino Media Arts Awards. In Spanish, alma refers to 'soul' or 'spirit'. The ALMA Awards is an annual event which honors and gives distinction to the outstanding Latino performers (actors, film and television directors, musicians, and designers) for the past year. The ALMA Awards 2009 is the ninth time for this awarding event to be held. In North America, the ALMA Awards is also known as "Latin American Oscars".

Last night, Kevin Skinner's dream came true. On the America's Got Talent 2009 Finale, Kevin Skinner stood tall above the rest. Just recently, Kevin Patrick Skinner's name was added to wikipedia, referring to him as "an American country music singer from far western Kentucky and the winner of the fourth season of America's Got Talent." Early in his life, Kevin Skinner played in a band called Skinner and Friends (with Jennifer and Rodney) and had gigs in Wrangler's Campground in the Land Between the Lakes and Hill's Bar-B-Que near the Kevil Korner.


If you might still recall, Kevin Skinner's America's Got Talent Season 4 audition, wowed the whole nation when he sang Garth Brooks' "If Tomorrow Never Comes". During the competition, Kevin Skinner also performed "Make You Feel My Love" by Bob Dylan and "Always on My Mind" by Brenda Lee. On America's Got Talent 2009 Finale Performance Night, Kevin Skinner's masterpiece was 'I Don't Want to Miss A Thing', which garnered enough votes from judges and audiences, for him to bag the America's Got Talent 2009 title and bring home the grand prize package.

Every one from the entire cast and staff of the successful CBS reality TV show, Big Brother 11 was on attendance (except for Chima of course), on the Big Brother 11 After / Wrap Party. Last night at the Big Brother 11 Finale, it was revealed that the Big Brother 11 winner is Jordan Lloyd. With this big win, Jordan Lloyd takes home the grand prize of $500,000 plus all the fame and fortune, and many more yet to come. After the Big Brother 11 party, Jordan Lloyd gave a sit down interview with CBS.


On the interview, Jordan Lloyd discussed how hard it was for her to endure staying inside the Big Brother house for such a long time. She referred to her housemates as having the 'I Hate You' attitude. Jordan Lloyd revealed her strategy, to fall in love with Jeff. Together with Jeff, Jordan found the courage and drive to do better on Big Brother 11. And love was enough to carry her to be the Big Brother 11 winner.
