I just recently found out that the 2009 ALMA Awards will take place tomorrow. For those who don't know yet, ALMA Awards refers to the prestigious American Latino Media Arts Awards. In Spanish, alma refers to 'soul' or 'spirit'. The ALMA Awards is an annual event which honors and gives distinction to the outstanding Latino performers (actors, film and television directors, musicians, and designers) for the past year. The ALMA Awards 2009 is the ninth time for this awarding event to be held. In North America, the ALMA Awards is also known as "Latin American Oscars".

We will posting the entire list of the 2009 ALMA Awards Nominees and their respective masterpieces. We will also be giving you live updates, news, information, rumors and controversies from the ALMA Awards 2009. Also, we will be posting the full list of ALMA Awards 2009 Winners on this site so check out for it. I just hope that we won't be seeing Kayne West interrupting an awardee or Lil Mama interfering on a performance on this awards night.
