FEU wins 2009 UAAP Cheerdance Competition - Last night, the UAAP Cheerdance Competition for UAAP Season 72 was held LIVE from Araneta Coliseum. With thousands of students, alumnis and guests watching at the Big Dome, and millions watching at home via Studio 23 LIVE streaming (TV or Internet), all the participating schools gave their best cheering performances and wowed the crowd. In the end, everyone was shocked when the University of Sto Tomas (UST), the team with the most cheerdance championships with eight and owners of the top 2 records given ever - 94.96 (2006) and 93.61 (2004), failed to make it to the Top 3 of the UAAP CheerDancing competition 2009. Well, I'm from UP so all I can say is better luck next time UST, and do not be overconfident next year, okay?
The winner of the 2009 UAAP Cheerdancing contest is no other than the Far Eastern University who gathered an average of score of 86.10. Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) finished second with 83.40 and the University of the Philippines (UP - my alumni), finished 3rd with 83.10. The powerhouse of UST finished 4th with just 81%.
