There's a thin red line between sports and violence, physicality and brawl. This line was crossed during a baseball game between the New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays have already won the game (with the final score at 10-4), when a play suddenly turned into a bloody fight. Yankees Jorge Posada has just crossed home plate when he got in contact with Blue Jays Jesse Carlson. Both Carlson and Posada have been taunting each other since early in the game and emotions broke loose at that point. By the end of the melee, Carlson had a nasty cut on his forehead and was on a bloody mess. On the other hand, Yankees GM Joe Girardi bruised his ear.


Both Carlson and Posada were ejected in the Yankees - Blue Jays baseball game and are expected to be suspended and fined for the brawl.
