Typhoon Ondoy is the latest tropical depression that entered the Philippines today, September 26th 2009. Ondoy hit Metro Manila and other provincial areas with heavy rains and gusty wins. The capital of the Philippines, Manila, was submerged under flood after Ondoy poured out what is considered as the heaviest rain in Metro Manila history. Although, PAGASA declared Typhoon Ondoy only as Signal No. 1 in Manila, it was more devastating than the previous storms.

Thousands of Filipinos are stranded, many waiting to be rescued and are seeking refuge on top of their roof. Philippine Bar Exams, and Licensure exams for teachers that are scheduled tomorrow were canceled by PRC and President Arroyo. The new schedule will be on October 4th.
