Rumors are circulating on the Web that Willie Revillame, the popular and arrogant host from Wowowee, has been suspended from his noontime show. If you could remember, an online petition to oust / remove Willie Revillame from TV has been a very hot item in the Internet. The last time I checked (and also submitted my signature), the petition has already garnered 30K+ and is still increasing. But I am the first to falsify that Willie Revillame is suspended.

According to Manila Bulletin, "Controversial television host Willie Revillame has filed a three-week leave of absence from game show “Wowowee” believed to be triggered by mounting protests on his emotional outburst over the insertion of a live coverage of former President Corazon Aquino’s funeral procession in the high-rating ABS-CBN noontime show." ABS-CBN has also released a statement that indeed Willie Revillame is on leave for three weeks.

While Willie Revillame is away, Pokwang and Mariel Rodriguez will be co-hosts for Wowowee.
