Southland is an original NBC drama TV series in the US. This series premiered last April 2009 and is immediately followed with a new season (Southland Season 2) coming this September 25, 2009. Southland was written by Emmy Award winning writer Ann Biderman. Seven episodes were released in the last season, while 13 all new episodes are scheduled to be aired on Southland Season 2. It has garnered an average 7 million viewers every episode, and this new season is expected to increase in viewers.
